History of the world, QR-Codes with Pictures and more

It’s Memon Mondays!

This week’s another-almost-tuesday edition is also brief as the news has been somewhat slow. Here are a few interesting links for this week (⌐■_■).

history of the entire world [video]
This video is jam-packed with the entire history of this world told in a unique way.

Photo Realistic QR-Codes
This tool allows you to create QR codes blended with pictures. Very useful to create unique and branded QR codes.

Beautiful Engine Teardown in Stop Motion
Look at the complexity of today’s car engine. Also, the stop motion is composed of 2,500 photos which itself is some work. The resulting teardown video is simply incredible.

Visual Game Editor for Pixi.js
Pixi.js is a very fast game-engine / 2d renderer for HTML5. This project is essentially an IDE for Pixi which makes it easy to learn Pixi and looks promising in making mundane tasks quicker via a visual editor.

Never use a dependency that you could replace with an afternoon of programming
We developers tend to be lazy and try to use packages and libraries to get stuff done quickly. This is very true for JavaScript developers (see leftpad chaos). This article argues that if it’s a small library, try programming it yourself instead on that `npm install`.

That’s it friends! Be safe, stay home, and wash your hands.
